INDOBALINEWS - Yandri Susanto, Deputy Speaker of the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR), stated that this year's Hajj implementation was better than in 2023.

Susanto stated in an official statement received here on Tuesday that he thought this year's Hajj implementation went well, particularly during the peak of Hajj worship in Arafah, Muzdalifah, and Mina.

So far, no incidents of neglect or overcrowding of pilgrims in Muzdalifah have been reported, as they were last year.

"The peak of Hajj worship in Arafah, Muzdalifah, and Mina went well. "They can worship well," Susanto said as quoted from Antara.

Furthermore, he assessed that the mobilization effort by Indonesian Hajj officers, who assisted pilgrims from Arafah to Muzdalifah and Mina, improved this year.

He also noted that the number of Hajj pilgrims from Indonesia who died during worship had decreased from the previous year.

On Tuesday June 18, 2024, Susanto visited Saudi Arabia to check on the condition of Indonesian pilgrims and review the pilgrimage arrangement system.

Following his review, Susanto mentioned that several Indonesian pilgrims were satisfied with the government's services.
